I like it looks well nice tartan as well . Im like you I don't dress up in all the gear I just don the kilt with what ever I would normally put on to go out.

I agree. Although I do enjoy formal/semi-formal Highland dress, in a way I also enjoy even more the unique challenge of coming up with a variety of kilted outfits with various accessories for weekend/casual/office day wear. But conversely, as Andy Warhol said, "The best look is a good plain look", and a kilt is just as distinctive, practical and comfortable totally dressed down as it is totally dressed up.
