A very muggy day here in Virginia. Just an appearance at the office then will be heading to my parental home to see my Dad for Father's Day.

USA Kilts casual kilts are just the ticket for my day. Cool and comfortable sitting while driving for three hours. A bonus photo for Hawk! Wearing one of my USA Kilts casual in modern Malcolm.

    Let the adventure begin!

Kilted Friday at the office today. I was spied in the break room getting coffee by a 'tour group' of field agents who are in town for training. And the recruiter scheduled an unexpected interview for a job opening I have in my group - it should be entertaining to see how the applicant reacts.

EDIT: This was an awesome day for positive reinforcement. It's the 3rd time I've worn the kilt to work, and this time there were a lot of questions and compliments. I stopped at Trader Joe's on the way home and had a good conversation with some of the employees, and had another customer who seemed keenly interested in how to research tartans and buy a kilt (I gave him one of Rocky's cards).

    Kilted at Choir

I have worn my kilt out and about when rambling, but have not had the courage to wear it to the choir practice where I am accompanist on Fridays. (Perhaps this could equally well have been placed in the "Don of Fear" thread!)

Well, last week I plucked up the courage, and went kilted to choir. Some favourable comments on my appearance. (Perhaps those who didn't like it remained silent!)

I didn't, however, have the nerve to ask someone to take a picture and, as has often been said, without a picture it didn't happen.

So this Friday, I did it again, and asked for a pic! Not in the middle of the practice, which would have held up proceedings (our Musical Director would definitely not have approved), but here I am in a lighter moment rehearsing with a soloist.

Bravo for you....A number of years ago I read a statement that Ive tried to live by ever since, and here it is....."If you don't have courage, just imitate it, no one can tell the difference!"......

BTW, I'm in serious doubt that the silent members had negative thoughts abut your "kilting", I'm suspect that to them it just wasn't a big deal... and again....Bravo for wearing your kilt out and about...

I tried to get a kilt night organized in North Texas for Friday night...it was a little out of the way for most folks, so mine was the only kilt I saw. I haven't been kilted in the wild many times since finding X Marks and getting a couple of kilts. This was my first time in a kilt with the band. I received many positive comments and was asked about the tartan from someone of Scottish decent. All in all, a great experience for a relative newbie.

I wore a lot of black - since losing weight my wardrobe isn't so plentiful right now... Black "dress shirt", big black belt with silver buckle, cheap black sporran, tan hose, Lovat blue flashes, Bates paratrooper boots, 8 yard wool American Heritage tartan from USA Kilts.

Here's the pic... Sorry for the poor cell phone quality and lighting:
