Tonight, it is Teacher's Highland Cream Blended Scotch Whisky. A golden amber color, a hint of peaty oak, and a surprising peat monster burn. Oh joy unbounded! A peaty blended whisky. int:

It's Friday night, watching some live sword fighting from Croatia with a small tincture of Kilchoman. Bliss.

Last night I had a dram, or two, of Cairnleigh and Glengoyne 17 with a friend while we smoked a couple of cigars. Glengoyne claims to be "untainted by peat smoke". It's their "thing", I guess. It's a pretty good malt.

I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Tonight, a wee dram of The Black Grouse followed by several wee drams of The Famous Grouse. Yum!

A good day to be a dad.

My kids cooked dinner tonight, coconut shrimp w/ coconut pineapple dipping sauce and mango curry chicken over basmati rice. yum.
Then the gifts. My wife and the furry kid gave me the Aberlour 12yr and my son, daughter and son-in-law gave me The Balvenie Caribbean Cask 14yr.

Balvenie or Aberlour tonight? Or maybe a dram of both?
    O those hard decisions!

I highly recommend a few drams of each.

A friend dropped by to visit today with a bottle of Littlemill 12 Year. This is a very rare bottling from the oldest distillery in Scotland (1772). The distillery burned down in 2004 so having the opportunity to enjoy this very hard to find lowland whisky was a real treat.
