I don't think they are heavy feeling, or looking at all. And I have never noticed a difference in weight with a gauntlet cuff versus a plain ("Crail") cuff. But, to each their own, right?

    Yep, I agree.

Craig Revel Horwood, Australian dancer/choreographer and judge on the BBC show "Strictly Come Dancing". It doesn't look like he picked his outfit up from a hire shop, does it?

Edit: Actually just read that he's now a British citizen - and that photo was taken at the Lonach Gathering.

However, when thinking about all the of the Macpherson men present at our annual gathering and rally in Scotland, I would say the ratio is about equal. Here's a wonderful photo of Cluny and Sandy Macpherson of Edinburgh, both wearing the same "Cluny's Tweed," yet Cluny's is plain, whilst Sandy's has all the bells and whistles, so to speak. In my opinion, and in agreement with the excellent points made by Calgacus, because of the cut and the type of tweed, both jackets look very, very smart.

I just want to say how nicely "Cluny's Tweed" compliments the MacPherson Hunting Tartan. A great example of "matchy" working nicely.

In my mind, the top sample is the nicer of the two, but it really doesn't matter in my opinion!
