    Hodden/Wadmel material/fabric?

Anyone know if it is still possible to find/purchase material that would fit the definition of the original Hodden/ Wadmel?

"Hodden or wadmel is a coarse kind of cloth made of undyed wool, formerly much worn by the peasantry of Scotland. It was usually made on small hand-looms by the peasants themselves. Grey hodden was made by mixing black and white fleeces together in the proportion of one to twelve when weaving. "

You probably will have the best luck by contacting a spinning and weaving guild in your area, to see if someone would/could weave this for you.

Try contacting Historical Caps. She knits caps of wool of the color you mention. Perhaps she knows someone who weaves with the same yarns.
