I have started a tradition of Kilted Fridays at the Teen Center where I work. For the last 2 months or so I gave worn a kilt every Friday at work. Most of the comments have been very positive, except for a few 15-16 year old girls who were totally horrified. This amused me greatly and on further discussion they said they just think guys hairy legs are gross and that they should wear pants.

When any of them ask why I wearing a kilt I just say "Because it is Friday", and they seem satisfied by the answer. This past Friday I brought my kilt with me planning to change later (I was painting and doing other messy work in the morning), but never got around to changing. I heard later that some of the teens were actually disappointed.

It probably helps that one of the graduating Seniors this year was a talented piper who played at graduation and some other events.

i will have to get some pictures one of these weeks.

A beautiful Friday; non-summer-like being cool. Beautiful drive to work in the TR. Already answered the question if I'm Irish or Scottish. Wearing a USA Kilt casual in modern Malcolm tartan.

Photos optional on this thread in General Kilt Talk, but here is one of today.

Looking good Ern! I'm sure it was a good day for the top down. Today I was in my Ogilvie Hunting Ancient tartan.

Had a number of people requesting pictures with us.
My wife stepped up to conduct the Reno Philharmonic, Part of the art walk is to get the public really involved. She is wearing her Douglas ancient mini-kilt from USAkilts

My first kilted Friday! It was a hit with my Damn Near Kilt 'Em Sport Utility Kilt. I know it would look better with my shirt tucked in, but I have to wear it out..Forum Rules don't allow an explanation. I still have to get a proper kilt belt. My step son gave me a brass thistle pin last year and I decided it goes pretty well with the khaki utility look.

I received a couple nice comments from folks, including a building inspector from the City. Kilt on, gents!

So what makes it ok to wear shorts with hairy legs but not a Kilt? both garments expose the same amount of skin, they both stop at near the knees...
