Derek, thanks so much for the Welsh language lesson; although when my eyes quickly glanced over the text and I saw the line containing the alphabet I thought for a moment that it was guitar chords. I have known a number of Welsh speakers over the years, and so knew that there were some absent letters/sounds. But particularly, thank you for using the words cwm in your examples. As a minister, I have sung - and love - the hymn tune CWM Rhondda. I have always been puzzled by the C-W-M part and I have said the three letters separately. Now I know that they are an actual word and shall henceforth get it right .... coom rhondda.
