    I don't believe it does. I tried once and it got ugly quick, and I never tried to rip PV again.

    At Kilt Kamp I ripped my tartan, wool of course, not P/V, and the edge frayed. Nearly everyone else cut their tartans with scissors and had clean edges to work with. My sense is P/V will not rip as well as wool, but regardless, from what I've seen, I think I'll cut all my tartan from now on, rather than rip it, wool or P/V.
