    pics from Pleasanton Ca. games

If anyone else has pics of these games feel free to add them to this post.
This was my first time out since having my operation and unfortunately I didn't feel like taking many pictures. However I did get pics of a couple of other xmarkers.

Thanks for posting. Always good to see Xmarkers hanging out together. My brother was there somewhere, probably guarding the whisky bottles at the Douglas tent.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Richrail: Thanks! It's great to see my brother standing up. Looks like he's pontificating (wonder who he gets that from) and about to get the five-fingered backhand from the fellow in the blue shirt.

I recognize about half the folks in the group shot, but of course I won't say which half. I might hurt somebody's feelings. That's a great outfit you are wearing, especially the Douglas kilt. Everything goes with it quite nicely, especially the Xmarks dandelion.

It looks hot there. That's probably why my brother is not wearing his wool Douglas, but instead his PV Holyrood. It's cooler.

Thanks for the pics guys! SailorTats, thanks for posting that. I forgot my camera on Saturday and on Sunday I ended up being too busy to take more than one or two pics... I'll add them here if they're not awful.

BTW I'm wearing the vintage buckle I picked up recently on Ebay. Even with the band kit I find any way I can to wear vintage stuff!

I left Pleasanton very early (3am) Monday morning (had to be back to SoCal by noon) and as I left the hotel I noticed a gang of young men hanging out and having a bit of a party in the lawn in front of the hotel- the Pipes & Drums of the Scots Guards! I noticed that they were out of beer (the bar had closed long ago) and I remembered that I had a number of Newcastles left from the day before in the cooler in my car. So I pulled up and offered the Pipe Major the beers and the pipers were quite appreciative. I only wish I had had more!

Hats off to OC! That was a generous and most timely gesture.
