I can't speak for travels to the UK, but I can tell you that your family will accept you regardless of kilted or not. That's the beauty of family; they know what kind of self confident "nutters" we are.

I say,wear what you want sir. Life is too short to worry about what anyone else thinks.

Thanks for your input on my vacation to Florida, the casuals from USA Kilts worked perfect.

I guess at nearly 60, I shouldn't be too bothered. I'm glad the casuals worked, not sure what the UK weather will be like, but cold and wet as usual I suppose.
