Our house is in Parkstone - just off Ashley road, and I was in Swanage at the weekend for the folk festival.

You can see the house at the end of Pearson Ave if you look on Google Earth.

    Small world.

I get brownie points for tartan identification and I only know a couple.

Don't have the present address in front of me, but previously their address was the dental surgery ('Moonfleet') on the Bournemouth Road.

My daughter is in the Boscombe area and informs me there were two stabbings there yesterday! Anyway I'm hoping to meet up with Grizzly sometime over the 5 days, you're welcome to join us if it pans out.

I suppose you could always threaten to disown him if he does.
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

He's given me a ggrandaughter, which is my main reason for going, so that may be a little awkward.

Granted. My grandson lives with me, but I can well understand the problem. Although our grandson could move with us, my wife won't even consider a move in case our other daughter, who lives close but is not even trying for a child or married, produces one!

Well I've applied for a part time, live in job in the UK, which may be a solution but I will miss my dogs. If I get this job, which my wife also does, we will only get 5 days together every 3 weeks, so not ideal either. Roll on pension, which I now have to wait another year for thanks to CaMoron. Families!

Where do you want to move to?

Not really an option at present for other reasons, but if we had the opportunity, back to Scotland, though warmer climes such as Spain might suit my wife's arthritis better.

I've known s few people come here for health reasons and it does seem to help.

I bought an X5 from a car dealer (Miller & Sons) in Parkestone, seems like a nice area - It's hardly Romford after dusk, or Croydon for that matter Post some pics of you kilted in Dorset if you can.

Any reaction from the pics on Facebook
