As far as I can tell the major changes between the Boer War era tunics and the 1909 Tropical Pattern is the collar and pocket shapes. The older one is a stand collar without the turn down.
As for WPG's tunics, they seem to overcompensate for the reenactor's potential tummy. I ordered a 44R, and while it fitted fairly well the the shoulders and chest it was utterly GINORMOUS in the stomach. So much so that I
have to do a tuck in just around the belt keepers to eat up some of the extra material so it isn't an utter jumble. And I'm not exactly at my most fit lately- all work and no exercise makes artificer a little soft.
