I'll be up there piping with the Louisville Pipe Band. As Pipe Sergeant of the band, I'll be in the circle to the right of the Pipe Major and on the front left corner of the block when we're marching.

Clean across the country but familiar with the local area there. Please feel free to post a few photos of the events there and bring us all into the local view.....

Just got back in a little while ago. Ran into Mike & Mike (MacGumerait & Mudge) a couple of times, but they (and I) didn't run into anyone else. It was a mite nippy this morning, but it turned into a glorious afternoon after the opening ceremonies. The sun came out, the clouds cleared, and the temps came up, just a little bit.
The pipes were tuning at Bb=444 Hz (A=470 Hz) - a bit flat from where we usually tune at (Bb=451/452 => A=477/478). My hands were so cold I couldn't feel my chanter vibrating when we first tuned up, but they weren't so numb I couldn't feel the holes. It's a bit disconcerting when you're used to feeling your chanter vibrate when you're playing (when you're playing pipes in a band, that's really the only way you know you're playing, unless you over/under blow - then you get the evil eye from the pipe major 'cause your tuning gets off from everyone else's).
Mike & Mike & I plan on being at the Central Kentucky Highland Games in Eminence, KY next weekend. Look for the guys wearing dandelions! (Our XMarks plant badge). (I'm not allowed 'cause it's non-uniform for the pipe band).

John , good to see you again and chat a bit . We also ran into Chainsaw02 ( Larry Dirr ) and visited for quite a while . We tried to keep our eye out for you rebelrouser , but never did see you . Larry gave us your description but we couldn't locate you .
Hey , did you guys notice the sun didn't come out until we showed up ... coincidental ? Perhaps ... not .
Cheers , Mike

Rebelrouser , yes I plan to be at the Indy Games and I think Mudge ( Mike Allen ) plans to be there as well . We both live in Seymour , IN and generally carpool to the nearby games.
What tartan will you be wearing ? Perhaps that will help me spot you .
I will be in Montgomery Blue Modern if that helps . ( Also , a kudos to @bonnie heather Greene for making this kilt ! )

Cheers , Mike
