The suggestion to contact Nick Fiddes is a good one. But it might also be worth contacting Richard Duclos. I think I saw an address for him at the SRT at one stage, but it is not on the pages for Brittany National or Brittany Walking. I suspect he would be the one to give the nod. Perhaps Nick would make contact with him, or provide his address.
There are several other Breton tartans, including a range with the prefix Bro-. They were designed by Kirsty Anderson of (if I recall correctly) the House of Edgar, but the designs were strictly supervised by Richard Duclos and they are marketed through his company, Fordiam, in Paris.
A Google search for Fordiam initially came up with several punts for a company working in concrete (beton), but then I came across this entry: Fordiam La Maison du Kilt, 12 Rue du Maine, 75014 Paris, France.
If you can write in French (I cannot) a letter or an e-mail to him would probably get your best results.
I finally ran down his shop’s website at this address: http://www.tartanbreton.com/francais/cgv.htm
It’s quite impressive at first sight.
Regards,
Mike
