As a slightly simpler alternative:
1. Run the sporran strap / sporran chain around your waist and let it hang in front, underlining your belly.
2. Grab the sporran chain / strap at your sides and lift it up and let it rest on the TOP of the 2 waist buckles (one on the left and one on the right).
3. Allow the chain / strap to 'hang' from that point to the front of the kilt.
4. Adjust the tightness to let it hang lower or higher.
