I have a 4 yd from Burnett's & Stuth on right now! And yes, the pleats are shallow, so you get less swing, but on this warm, humid California day, it's not bad. A 5 yd would be my preference for a lower yardage kilt.
However, the reason I put this up is because of the seldom seen kilt for sale in the Chattan tartan, not really the kilt itself.
