    I also watched the other videos from the same competition. It's great to see all those talented kids playing their hearts out. This competition format--freestyle with various other instruments--is very similar to the one used by the Breton bagads (pipe bands).

    Oh, I like that very much. I love to hear the pipes combined with other instruments, it`s amazing how good it can sound. A positive development, I think. Thanks for the link.

    Thank you Tundra, that was a great link, and a portal to so many other interesting videos. I especially enjoyed Every School Needs a Pipe Band https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I7Cpi0sBlaA . Reading between the lines, I have a hunch that is an inspiring story; and how great is it to see young kids learning to play. I wish I could.

    Wonderful! Outside the box. Pipes are so grand. Too much contained in the box of typical pipe band thinking.
