hello Albanians ..
our family was up Cohoes after the war ..Uncles were all soldiers the wives made uniforms bullets etc and Aberdeen got bombed ..the bad way .
usually eth Uncs drank whatever was wet ..my first stout was ..during college my uncle handed me a 4 zo ..and then they blended it ..after that my standard was a12 oz of whatever bud genny ..ballantyne ..and 3-4 oz xtra stout and maybe a lime slice ..usually that beat anything in a bottle ..McEwens was a favorite ..but harder to find usually the Latham beverage store had that ..and MacAndrews ..which to me was about the best ..Fischer/Alscace from France was not bad either .
our chum who chef'd in schools ..had meat pie machine and normally cranked out Scottish pies periodically ..sometimes we got from ..Stop n Shop over Adams Mass international section ..from Jersey I think ..you have to call ..else ..ask a local scottish shop ..
I've added family recipes before ..stovies ..soups ..haddock ..fish n chips ..etc
Scotties fish shop was at Rt 9 and 155 ..the it went down the pipe ..they'd brought over family from Aberdeen to run it ..and it was very popular ..difft than ..ted's .

Looks like MacAndrews Scotch Ale is no longer brewed. That beer store in Latham is the only place around here you can find McEwans, and they usually have at least one 4 pack in stock, often two. I have standing orders to pick up an extra 4 pack every so often when I'm up there for a buddy at work.
Where ya at now Georgeetta?
