for all of those who wear the tartan that cannot be named

This morning while scrolling through my facebook newsfeed I came across this good news, from one of my friends. http://www.openculture.com/2014/10/h...ee-online.html

I shall have to find some time to do some reading here, so that I can find out what all the fuss is about.

Read some of his stuff years ago when I used to play the role playing game based on his works. Might just have to free up some space on my pc...

Lovecraft had some pretty distinct phases and not all his stories are of the same quality (but all are enjoyable). I envy you your chance to discover these tales for the first time.

    Cheers

I had read about all his stories by my early twenties so I echo Panache's envy . If you've run out of original Lovecraft to read there are more than a few collections of stories written based on Lovecraft's mythos (some great - some not so great) & Dark Adventure Radio which does versions of the stories as if they were done for 30'3/40's radio shows .

While it is neat that all Lovecraft's stories are available electronically for free, there is something to be said for the feeling of a nice book in one's hands. I have Lovecraft's collected stories on my Kindle and in a set of paperbacks, but my favorite way to enjoy them is from this handsome bound collection I picked up at Barnes and Noble

Much more satisfying to read from in my favorite chair with a little whisky at my side.

(Arkham house published some even nicer hard bound editions but they ae a bit more pricey)

    Cheers
