    Time for Tanks

Time for those in the sunny States to get their tanks out, pleated and tracked. Seriously, hope everyone is OK and surviving the snow.
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

No snow, yet, in Southwestern Pennsylvania...just a dusting. Although, it's been very cold, like 12* F. I wore my tank the last several days and received many comments about it being "too cold for a kilt." Well, with eight yards of heavyweight material, I was not cold.

Not to worry, though, as the weekend temperatures will be back into the 50's.

It's amazing how many times people say that - just done two sessions for the Scouts where I wore kilt and t-shirt and changing back in to 'normal' clothes afterwards, THEN I felt the cold...

You are right. Normally at this time of the year our afternoon temperatures are in the low 70's F, now we are experiencing the low 40's. Brrrr.

Two of my sons, a daughter-in-law (very pregnant) and our grandson live in or near Buffalo. My daughter-in-law is a school teacher, but schools have been closed there now for the 3rd day in a row. Her husband, our middle son, is away this week on business, so he's doing okay. Plus they just bought a new house! My other son cannot get to work because the roads are all closed. His boss is in Costa Rica this week on vacation. Great timing on his part!

Dry as a bone where we live and work 300 miles east.

I am usually good in a kilt down to the low-mid 30s F. It's supposed be in the mid-40s F this weekend, so I thought about kilting up for a family party, but I reconsidered when I remembered that there's going to be a bonfire. Wouldn't want some random flying ember to ruin a nice wool kilt.

Had my tank out with rollneck and tweed yesterday! We have a few inches of snow and a high temps in the teens.

I'm with you Isaac. Winter temperatures don't mean much to me when it comes to my tank!

I must admit that this is my own kilt though and the only thing that changes for weather is what I wear with it. I also LOVE the cold!!
