Old Navy finally gets it right!

Laughing….get an e-mail just about every day from the Old Navy stores that tries to tempt me with the daily special sales.

    Today: MEN! TARTAN IS TRENDING!

….obviously they don't know about Xmarks….where tartan has been trending for YEARS!

Just savoring the irony…I hope that doesn't make me a "hipster".

    Best,

You're totally a hipster... just like the rest of us tartan loving people

My fiancée brought home some Old Navy tartan scarves the other day and some of them are actually pretty nice.

Where I'm from Old Navy means

I picked it up from the post office today. Dirt cheap and looks good with a kilt.

If they had consulted with X Marks, our own "sailortats" would have been the logical choice to lead the campaign with a true air of authority. Wasn't there a matter of a copyright law suit over the phrase, "Dressed to Kilt"? Old Navy might get an email from a lawyer soon as the New York fashion show did for using it in the online ad.

Wearing tartan these past few years we are either ahead of the fashion wave, or so far behind it that we are in front of the next wave coming. Like sine waves, it really does not matter where you are on the wave, give it a minute and it will change and eventually come back again.

If you substitute kilts = f and v = trends, you'll get ForresterModern's formula for the Doppler effect. I didn't know there was going to be a math quiz either, but I studied just in case.
