    Keep checking

Its only available until march, which makes me very sad.
Can it be had in NS?

I highly doubt it will be. Irn-Bru is not really widely available here. I buy it at a store that happens to specialize in British imported foods, and being available even in Scotland for such a short time, I can't see him getting it in. But the store is a 3 minute walk up the street, so I will keep checking.

Perhaps we can get one of our brethren in Glasgow to hold some and I can pick it up in August!

It would be interesting to see just how many tartans are actually represented. Additionally, I wonder if some might get more time on bottles than others based on popularity.

I always find the various applications of Graphic Design for marketing purposes interesting.

What's cool about this is that it's uniquely Scottish! I can't think of any US equivalent.

Well, back in West Virginia there is, it seems to me, a general awareness of quilting and the various traditional quilting patterns (a quilt pattern was even considered for the State Quarter) and I can see a marketing thing featuring these: Log Cabin, Wedding Ring, Cathedral Window, etc etc.

Out West here perhaps each bottle could feature a different tribe's distinctive artwork (Navajo rug etc).

Marketing campaigns like that here in the US tend to feature State Flags: we had State Flag quarters, and Disney did a series of State Flag collectors pins, etc.

    Or they'll feature sports teams.

How would that go over in Scotland? A Raith Rovers bottle, Ross County bottle, etc. (I'd buy one of those!)

Here are some good ol Appalachian quilt patterns

Woohoo! They have Lamont. Hard to believe, as Lamont is not one of the big name tartans... may have something to do with a nasty slaughter by the "you-know-who"s and the fact that the clan cheif emigranted inthe 1820s. My own family were poor tenant sheepherders living on the Isle of Handa when they left in 1846.

And, if you really want one, you can actually print your own label. I may label everything Idrink Irn-Bru for a while.
