I would recommend the USA Kilt Casual. I have seen one so covered in mud that the tartan pattern was not visible, it just looked gray. The wearer stood in the outdoor shower at the event, and the mud just slide off, and the pattern reappeared. It has a Teflon coating. The pleats were even still halfway decent.

At the risk of being a little too "goth"... this would probably repel mud pretty well.

This one might fit the "feel" of the event a little better. Much more Roman Conquerer and less vampire-y: http://www.phazeclothing.com/product...-pvc-mens-kilt

Either way, you're sure to stand out from the rest of the crowd doing the event in a SportKilt!

Those both look long enough to seriously impede your legs freedom of movement to me. Not great for an athletic event.

If fire jumping is involved, I would go the USA Casual also. PV is about 4 times harder to ignite than acrylic and burns a lot slower so you can put it out before your marshmallows burn.

Pants is only a present tense verb here. I once panted, but it's all cool now.
