My problem is large calves, I am a runner and folding them back down they get very tight or I wind up stretching them out.

I guess I'm a heretic or just lucky. First, the HoC Lewis hose in medium fit me perfectly. I have 9.5 EEEEE foot and an 18" calf. I always use a cold wash cycle with regular laundry and I just turn them inside out and chuck them in with the wash. I pull them out turn them back right side out, flatten them as they were packaged and lay them flat on the bed to dry.

I'm probably 20 washings in on some of the hose and they still fit me well, snug but not too tight. I also haven't noticed any pilling, etc.

Of course now that I've read this thread, they will probably all shrink on the next wash cycle ;)
