New Kilt at Robert Burns Night Celebration
I have to show off my new kilt from Rocky and the Clan at USAKilts. I also got to wear my new Argyle jacket, belt and Ghillies, also from the same, in addition to the sporran I had made by our own Artificer. What a great a great evening we had and it was a great turn out. I made sure everyone who was wearing their kilts got into the picture, because I know how sensitive the rabble is about having pictures of everything!!

Thank you Liam! I have a way to go on the "matchy" thing, but that just gives me an excuse, or reason if you will, to get a few more accessories. I'm shopping for some new hose and flashes, but all in all I'm quite pleased how I'm coming along.
It was a special night for me too, because I had a hand in organizing the event when we first took it on. It had never been done before for our group and last year was the first time for it. I was unable to attend because of some family medical reasons, but this year it was an even bigger hit. Everyone had a great time!

Your attire sets a good example for the others to emulate. Well done! The only comment I have is regarding the wearing of a hat indoors, but it may be an accepted custom in your locale.

Nicely done!
I know your piper. We play in the same band and she was my high school pipe band teacher. We taught the class together for a few years until she retired and I took over until this school year.

Sharkman,
Your smile says it all. A very handsome man proud to wear his best. By the way, love the tartan, which one is it? And yes, Rocky and crew do a great job too. Again, hope you enjoyed yourself as much as it looks in your picture.

Hi Liam,
I put it on for the picture, although it was off during dinner and such.

Hi YOJiMBO20,
It's good to meet another one from around these parts.
Ms Mars did a wonderful job piping for our event and the drummer who accompanied her, Dan Brill, was the son of MC for or event. He is from the Chicago area and belongs to a band and also plays with one of the piping groups out there and he also competes. They did a fine job!

Hi kiltedtom,
Thank you for your comments. The tartan is Ancient Campbell from the House of Edgar. They just made it for me this Fall and they did a wonderful job. I also have purchased much of my attire from Rocky and company and I have been pleased with every item.
We had a great time!
