My sister was a vendor at the Bonnie Brae Scottish games, and was notified via an e-mail that the games are going to be discontinued. I spoke to an employee at the school and they had not been made aware. We were discussing it at our Pipe Band practice and some people had heard about it and others hadn't. We loved that festival! Now we'll have to go to either Staten Island, New York, Syracuse, New York, or Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. It's terrible news.
That should not really be a surprise though. The games were never really advertised and you sort of had to know that they existed, then actively go find them and even then they were a bit buried on the promoters website. Last few years there were more vendors than visitors. My wife and I went last year and at 2:00 in the afternoon it felt like a flea market that had closed an hour ago. I understand that when those games started they were packed. But yes sorry to hear this has finally happened.
