I've bought several things from Scottish Lion and haven't had problems, but then I wasn't asking for anything custom or out of the ordinary, just "cash and carry". I have since found places where the same/similar products were less expensive but then I've found some with prices substantially higher too.

I don't have any experience with their canvas kilt or the Buzz Kidder kilt, but an alternative source would be the Neokilt. I have one of those and it works okay. The material is a bit stiff although it is slowly softening. The front apron has less taper than I would like so it doesn't drape quite right, but I can have somebody fix that. They may well have changed that by now too, I haven't asked. I know they have made some changes in the design since I got mine. Josh was nice enough to work with and when there was a delay getting my kilt he threw in a couple of perks in way of compensation.
