I've bought 6 kilts from USA Kilts, 4 for me and 2 for my son, and I've bought one from Stillwater Kilt for my youngest son.

I have a kilt from
-a local maker, Madelyn Blandford, sadly deceased
-Wanda McSwain
-a guy in Edinburgh, sorry I can't remember his name, no label in the kilt
-House of Edgar (the extra-heavy MOD fabric, done in the style of MOD kilts)
-J Higgins (our band-issued kilt)

You will not be disappointed. I have three of Rocky's kilts, two casuals and a 5-yard wool. I have been to the USAKilts store on two different occasions and even had a "tour" of the entire shop, meeting not only Rocky but his entire staff. USAKilts is a first class operation with quality products at reasonable prices and offering top-notch customer service.

I too only have one kilt so far, a 5 yard wool, Celtic Nations, from USAKilts. I love it. So I am sure you will get good workmanship from Rocky and his crew.

I made my kilt. And, I encourage you to do the same. Take a look at the box pleated Xkilt download on this site for free. I'm still looking for a quality tartan to purchase by the yard for a more traditional look, and the hunt's part of the allure. ith:

For the record, we (USA Kilts) ARE a mom and pop store. My wife Kelly and I own it and we employ 8 staff, including ourselves. We also have a 1 year old son, so we are, in fact, a mom and a pop.
Thanks to everyone who recommended us for the kind words. We appreciate it and couldn't do what we love without customers like you.
I would also like to point out that there are a lot of great companies who advertise on Xmarks. You're likely going to be pleased with a kilt purchase from any of them. And when you support the forum advertisers, you support the forum, which gives us kilt wearers a great "home" on the web.

I have purchased six kilts from Rocky and five jackets, you won't go wrong buying from USA Kilts. I also have three from Mat Newsome and three from Bonnie Green you couldn't go wrong with a kilt from them either. Wherever you choose to buy yourself a kilt from IMHO buy from a forum advertiser you won't be sorry in any way

Barb Tewksbury for tanks. Matt Newsome for low-yardage. I've bought several nice jackets from Rocky at USA kilts. All top-notch.
