    Kilts 3 & 4

Two more kilts arrived yesterday from Stillwater.
One is solid black and the other is a Black Stewart. That should be enough to get me through the winter.

I am thinking the next kilt will be a black mocker from Utilikilts.

That Black Stewart is a beauty. I've had my eye on it, probably since Red and Black are the local high school team colors.

Saw on some website they called that tartan "Mourning Stewart" - anyone know more about that history?

Sure would be a good combination of colors to wear to a wake or funeral, the somber black with the joyful red.

'Course my tastes in funeral wear are joyful, wore a bright yellow aloha shirt to a brother's funeral.

Anyhow...the tartan is beautiful, whatever its origins. Know you'll walk proud in it Will.

They are standard stillwaters. Not sure about winter weather yet. It's about the same temperature here. In the next few weeks, I will get a better idea of how warm they are.

Not sure about it being Funeral Only. Jackie Stewart and son wore that Tartan in 1998 when they were launching their new Stewart Grandprix Racecars and drivers. It was definately a joyful occasion.
