Creeks & MacIntoshes...
There used to be a fellow at the Tulsa Games every year (I assume he is still around and attending games) who was a MacIntosh and a member of the Creek (Muscogee) Nation -- he helped designed the Tulsa District Tartan and was an active member of the Scottish Club there -- his father attended a MacIntosh gathering back in the '60's dressed in a kilt with traditional First Nations dress, and his son did the same as well -- very impressive, and appropriate, since many of the Five Civilised Tribes (Cherokee, Creek, Choctaw, Chickasaw and Seminole) had a large proportion of Scots -- and not just these tribes, but others as well.
Cheers,
T.
