My spelling to not too good either. I just hope that those outwith these shores, who might notice, assume that that is how the Brits spell it. So far so good!
" Rules are for the guidance of wise men and the adherence of idle minds and minor tyrants". Field Marshal Lord Slim.

I should add that we produce some very odd pronunciations which make life difficult whether copied elsewhere or not, within 40 Mile of where I now live we have; They are all English towns now but of Course most are much older from Norse, Saxon, or older languages.
Lessingham, old timers pronounce LeZZingham,
Costessey, pronounced Cossy,
Tacolneston, pronounced Tackleston,
Norwich, Pronounced Norrich, (which is also the old Timers pronunciation in the USA I believe)
and the favourite around here Happisburgh pronounced Hazeburuh.
The above are approximate as, those of us who spent some years living in the west country are renown for not being able to do a Norfolk accent, which is similar but not the same. For proper Norfolk see http://www.norfolkdialect.com/glossary01.htm

I'm chuckling. Considering the original premise of this thread and the current discussion....
Rev'd Father Bill White: Mostly retired Parish Priest & former Elementary Headmaster. Lover of God, dogs, most people, joy, tradition, humour & clarity. Legion Padre, theologian, teacher, philosopher, linguist, encourager of hearts & souls & a firm believer in dignity, decency, & duty. A proud Canadian Sinclair with solid Welsh and other heritage.

I have a good friend, and his wife, who both sumo wrestle. They're both tattoo'd something fierce so it's quite a sight. Yes, the lass wrestles sumo, as well. Both of them prefer tequila over whisky or rum and the man wears white sox when he competes at the Games.
This is Sonya, wrestling. Oh, and her truck is pink.

Miguel Del Gallego, wrestling sumo

and again...

Miguel in his kilt at the Games IN CALFORNIA throwing weight over bar in white socks.

And THAT, my friends, is how threads go bad. Also, Miguel and Sonya are a full order of magnitude cooler than I am. There. I said it.

Whatever happened to LitTrog? He had a way of making bad threads go good.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

LOL ... and then there are naive newbies like me who kinda expect to be told what to do! Anyway, OC Richard, I like what I've read of your posts so far! Do you, or anyone, have a link to the Blanford kiltmaking site? Or anyone know where I might find a Burnett (lowland house not highland clan) tartan or (better yet) kilt? Thanks.
