I get a "kick" out of your Friday posts Tartan Hiker. More so today because of the sign on the wall over the young lass's left shoulder.

Thanks. There's a really funny story behind that poster...too long to post here. Suffice it to say that despite 28 years in high school teaching I still occasionally underestimate the enthusiasm and determination of my students. That's why I am now the sponsor of our school's "Zombie Outbreak Response Team."

My wife and I attended a gala and Catholic Fund raiser on our anniversary. Friends took photos and said they will email them. When (and if) they do I will post them on here. My wife still can "cut a rug" for hours when the music moves her.

Tarheel,
How many years is it for you and the Misses?

We've got 11 years of legality and another 4 before that. That's why I picked May Day for the wedding. I can remember that part. I will add the bliss will last for the rest of our lives. Thanks for asking Tom.

Well it has been a while since I last posted here but I am back on the bandwagon. Today is my XMarks PV. I had taken a break from kilting at the office because I never knew when I would need to go out to take measurements or do inspections. For the last couple of weeks I have been kilted at the office more than just Fridays. I also have a couple of more 'field friendly' kilts on order to add to the stable so if I get called out I don't have to change. I've been out a couple of times while kilted and once had to climb a gate to into a goat pasture. I tend to get snagged by thorns and brambles, if on an inspection then mud is a good bet. I do need to find a good set of gaiters to protect my legs in the really rough stuff.

I too, am kilted in PV; USAK Semi-trad in Malcolm modern tartan. I was out at the entrance gate getting an estimate for repair work from a contractor. When one of our residents daughter in laws came in. She stopped to give numerous compliments and to ask many questions. No, not that one!

Found a new footpath today, must do more walking in future.
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

Went out to a local pizzeria and then to a friends house for drinks. Great friend who don't bat an eye with me wearing a kilt. True friends! Got home and just ordered a new 511 kilt in green. Took a road trip last weekend wearing my 511 kilt and it sure was comfortable. I will be taking a road trip at the end of the month and hope it will be here before I leave. Traveling from Mississippi to Virginia and the Washington DC area. Want to be as comfortable as possible on the road. I plan on taking two 511 kilts for traveling and two USA kilts for day wear.
