Forgive your enemy but remember the bastard's name.
Kilt up better than pants down.

My Uncle lives a mere 139 miles up the road in Elizabethton, TN. I'm trying to spark some interest in him and the cousins to attend. They need to get out of the house more anyway, and what better way than Highland games.

If you can't manage to drag them all the way to Maryville, you may have better luck with the East Tennessee Celtic Festival which takes place in Elizabethton in September.

Funny you should mention Elizabethton, that's where my Uncle and cousins live. They emailed me to let me know I was behind the times and should visit during September. Now if I can only talk my Dad in losing a weekend of golf to join us, that would be a coup.

I don't want to sound like an advertisement, but if you have any questions about the festival itself or anything in the area feel free to PM me; I'm a lifelong resident of the area, and the Vice President of the Society which presents the festival.

The East Tennessee Celtic Festival in September is always a fun event. I won 3rd place in the Best Knees in a Kilt contest last year!
