Flynn, your pleats look about like most of the other canvas kilts I've seen. It is what it is, just the nature of heavy cotton. If you go the UT Kilts route, and Steve is correct about all the utility kilts on ebay being the same thing, just make sure you check the fabric before ordering. Some of the Pakistani utility kilts are 100% cotton, others are poly/cotton.

I just checked out the UTKilts.com website and see they are currently having a 10% off Summer Clearance sale. They also have a special "Clearance" section.

Soooooooooo...I just ordered a basic khaki UT Kilt from their clearance section for $40 plus (moderate) 3-day shipping. It appears to be a group slightly off-color from their normal dark khaki.

I ordered this because it was very affordable (for just about anyone) and it will put a "fifth" merchant in my closet (SportKilt, USA Kilts, Stillwater, Amerikilt and UT Kilts) to get me busy finishing up some reviews. My goal this summer is to publish reviews of my kilt exploits thus far...with photos like this sporran shackle image...

If you are too busy to laugh, you are too busy.

Some of these same manufacturers send me emails on an almost daily basis offering the same product for about $12.00
That's probably true, although air mail from Pakistan adds $60 to the cost if you only ship one kilt. Not trivial.
