Well, it's official. I won't be able to attend this year's KK. I'd promised the daughter a trip to Iceland which was pretty much bought and paid for over several months, but then my Dad had a heart attack and I've been back and forth from NS to Ontario several times. I've done the calculations and I believe that I'd like to put aside abit for another visit or two over the year. Dad's doing ok after his triple bypass however, so yay!
Will be very sorry not to see Tartan Tess, pastopat, Jon.....and The Princess Bride.

@Barb T ... I can't make the whole event, but will there be a social evening like last year. You all are close enough that I'll love to drive down and meet this year's Klass, share a meal and a glass or two.

Hi Barb,
Please count me in for this year's camp. I'll probably bring over a piece of Maple Leaf to turn into a traditional kilt for a friend. Yeah, I know, that tartan is a bit of a challenge, but what's life without pushing the boundaries here and there?
I see h.hastings on the list, but is okiwen not coming as well? Won't be the same. But what's life without a bit of change here and there along the way.
Barb, I'll email you separately about arrangements. Cheers to Dave.

Woo hoo!!! That's GREAT! Just be sure that you have a single width of the Maple Leaf, not a double width.
And I don't think Okiwen's going to be able to come - he's been on special duty and training, and he can't get away. We're hoping he might come up for the weekend, though!

Ok - I'm in! Things are coming together for me, have the time off approved and will be able to swing it. After corresponding with Steve, I'll be in the contemporary section, but will be hand-stitching my kilt.
Now I have to figure out what tartan to use - and what I can order at this point that I'll be able to get in time.
And I'll be bringing dance mats with me so I can get practice time in as I have a competition on August 1st!
