Does Marton Mills make medium weight Cuillins of Skye tartan?
I know that the Cuillins of Skye tartan is available from Marton Mills in their Jura range (16 oz). However, is it also available in medium weight (13 oz)?
I sent an email to Marton Mills about this but no reply yet, so I thought I'd also ask the experts from this Forum!
Thanks!
Alain

According to their site they only stock it as a 16oz cloth. It looks like if you wanted a 13oz cloth then you'd need to meet their minimum order.

If you emailed MM through the link at the website an answer will be slow, or you may not get one at all. They're not too good about monitoring it. If you need a "high speed" email address for them, PM me and I will hook you up. As you may be moving into custom weave territory, see the thread Information For Tartan Buyers.

Thanks!
Thanks figheadair and Benning Boy and for these precisions!
16 oz heavy weight fabric is certainly fine for me so I'll go with that option.
Best regards,
Alain

I would always go with the heavier weight. If I can get 16oz then I would. 13oz lacks some of the substance, the swing.
