I'd like to offer this from the man with "the tallest hair in Country and Western music" Lyle Lovett.

Old men are sometimes sad in their own hearts and don't share that with others.

By the way, Allen, I believe that the great K.D. Lang was born to sing "Crying."

I still can't listen to "Mr. Lonely" by Bobby Darren without choking up. That is from a time in our past (for many reasons we both experienced) that you can relate to sailortats.
Tarheel, my father was a fan of Jim Reeves. Growing-up, I used to listen to his albums on the phonograph and this one was a particular favorite of mine.

Jim Reeves was some of the first recorded music I can remember listening to. My dad was a fan as well. Brings to mind "That Silver Haired Daddy of Mine." Allen, since you bumped this thread, may I offer this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DEy6EuZp9IY

Wow, my sweetie, carolinanan117, and I are huge John Prine fans. This one is a particular favorite of mine. Back during our student days, we saw John Prine and Steve Goodman in concert.

(Steve Goodman wrote 'The City of New Orleans'.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJ0JgqoF2W4

This one by John Prine is a real tear jerker.

Yes, no one can move you from tears to laughter quite like the great John Prine. I`ve seen him 3 or 4 times through the years, and he is always a special treat. Sam Stone is a classic. How about this one? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZE4IqeXnT8
