The blade is flat ground, if I had the proper wheels and belt sanders I'd be trying to craft a straight razor, all I have to work with is my air powered 90 degree die grinder with scotchbrite cookies, and my 2" air sander that I use for headlight restoration, I do have a 3/4hp bench polisher with a full compliment of jewelers polishing compounds and buffs.
I work on this exclusively on my lunch hour at the shop where I work as a mechanic.

The wood has a really nice flip to the grain.. almost like curly maple, I'm thinking a nice honey tinted stain, and a polish on the buffer with beeswax.

Very nice. The proportions are perfect, the wood is beautiful, and you have done a great job on the blade. I especially like the file work, or jimping, or whatever it`s called. Great job, you should carry that knife with well deserved pride.

Here is the sgian dubh, with a durable yet simple and elegant superglue finish, I'm shining it up by hand as my polishing wheel is buryed at home in the garage. There are 5 coats of superglue and a sanding and polish..
