PV material
Hi Steve,
I don't know if you got my email response in time for you to bring enough "Victoria, City of Gardens" PV for me to make a kilt (with one under apron pocket if possible). I hit the 'send' button yesterday evening at Denver airport just before push back, but it didn't go until this morning 10.42am CST.
Three sleeps to meet all you guys!
Grizzled Ian

Got it Ian, I am going to cut some off the bolt first thing in the morning.
I have yet to pack my bags. It looks like one bag for me and one for other Kampers' fabric and supplies.
I'm still working on my powerpoint presentation of "Just what the heck is a Contemporary Kilt anyway?" or "Why not just make all kilts IAW "TAoK?" or even, if I may be so presumptuous, "The Art of Kiltmaking - The Advanced Course".
I guess I'm of the wrong generation 'cause I must admit that I've never done a powerpoint presentation before. I've never made a powerpoint slide. When I was growing up we had overhead projectors. I had one professor in College who could print overhead slides from his computer but most of us poor students still carried paper and pen around.
I'm flying into Toronto, renting a car, and driving to Hamilton. That saves me about $500.00 overall.
I land in Toronto just after midnight Fri/Sat so I'm sorry I don't think I'll make it in time to attend Irish Fest. But I'll see everyone in the dorm at 7:00pm on Sat. when we meet Barb and make plans for something to eat and a pint.
I can't wait to get back to the Hamilton College Campus. For those X Markers who can't attend a Kilt Kamp the campus is beautiful. Barb's classrooms are great and all together it makes for a wonderful experience.
Barb tells me that we will all be able to be in the same room this year. I've never actually be able to see all of Barb's course 'cause I've been down the hall with my students.
So, yep Ian, three sleeps and we will once again hear "Good Morning Kampers".

I am leaving Dayton on Friday with a stop in Rochester before driving over to the campus on Saturday morning. I would estimate around 11am to pick up my credentials. I will then head over to the Irish Fest for the afternoon. The big white Caddy will be rolling down the highway soon.

The Wizard is on his way. I just dropped him off at the airport. I would share a photo, but after I took it, he took the camera!

No, Harlan...he was traveling in disguise....suit and tie, with as little metal on him as possible (to avoid those pesky detectors at the airports)!
I spoke with him late last night.....he had made Toronto in one piece (with all his luggage, thank goodness-- never know with planes nowadays) and was getting into a rental car to head to New York. I feel like I should get NORAD involved in tracking him.....

I'm actually outside of Rochester NY right now.
Going to meet another sock cranker.
Since when did the US get so many Tim Horton's. There seem to be more here than in Canada.

Wishing all the Kampers a great week! those tights need an acronym, something along the lines of ICBM. . .
