    Yes. Even when I have had "belt" loops, I do not use them.

    Happen to have this image handy showing it. This is a simple sporran belt and an MOD kilt. This was before I shortened it to a more normal height

    Belt loops

    I have started taking the belt loops off my kilts. I never use them.
