Well, it was actually Thursday, but close enough... My company had a summer party for the employees, where we took a boat ride on the river through downtown Portland. Beautiful sunny day!

Our grand daughter is visiting, and when I got home from work, she had dressed up as a princess.

Most certainly your granddaughter would dress as a Princess. Everyone else have grandpa's that wear only pants. She is special, because you are in her eyes Rigby.

Even if all the other grandfathers begin wearing kilts, the imprint is there with her, that you are the King of her heart.

It is the first Friday of a new school year. I normally wear a tie and dress a bit more for school, but the temperature is in the 80-90sF and it is humid. I decided to go rather casual with a polo shirt, chukka boots, etc.

    Kilt Friday for me!

This week in my rotation is the Stewart Royal Ancient, pleated to the white stripe.

At the office in my Khaki Alt.Kilt. I will be leaving early to start vacation and driving in comfort.

Sitting in my building lobby in my AZ tartan kilt as I'm typing this. Positive reactions all round, and I expect more when I go to my wife's office and the commissary this afternoon.

    Cycling Tour of Britain

The Cycling Tour of Britain almost came past our doorstep this Friday, so I was out in my kilt with my wife to watch. This is the lead bunch:

Sadly neither my cycling nor my bike are anywhere near that standard:

If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

Right there with you, Mike! For me today it's Stewart Royal Modern, the personal tartan of Queen Elizabeth II, in honour of HRM becoming the longest reigning monarch in British history:
