day out in the kilt
So, going to a meet up in public with a group of friends, dare I brave the Cameron of Erracht kilt or play it safe with the khaki tactical kilt?

I think you would do just fine in either.

I prefer a traditional tartan kilt when going out and about.

Though I have two, there is something be said for having only one - don't have to choose (sweet misery it is). Today's weather made it easy; the 16oz tank for the cold autumn air

Well I went for the Cameron Kilt, which is atleast 16oz -18oz, legs were lovely and warm (knees were a tad nippy though) and it barely registered the wind, pleats are a tad twisted after today, i'll have to press them sometime soon

If I am wearing a kilt in public, I almost always wear a tartan kilt. In addition to clearly defining what I am wearing, it is a wonderful way to meet people. There will be inquiries about the tartan, what clan, and nice comments about a gentleman in a kilt (from women.) Utility style kilts I save for hiking or mowing the yard.

I did get a fair few positive remarks, and the typical "What you got on under it?".

Glad it went well, I'm wearing mine out this afternoon to church and have a little trepidation but I am sure it will be fine
