Forbes is the main clan around Lonach. By the way, in my young day, Forbes was still pronounced as two syllables i.e. FOR-bis
I have always been slightly puzzled by the fact that the Men of Lonach are armed with pikes which are not usually regarded as a Highland weapon.

I think Alan has hit is square on. Everyone else in that portion of the parade is in Forbes Modern. It almost makes me miss marching; although I have never been encouraged by any Sgt. Major to "assume a lazy posture". :-)
