In one of my other lives I am known as Rumncoke - I have this dream that one day someone will turn to me and enquire 'Rumncoke?' and I can say 'Yes please.'
This is what I set out most New Year's Eves

I partly remember a long night involving lots of Rum N Coke, while I was training in the RAF, needless to say I've never touched one since.. although I'll have a straight rum please...

In the spring and fall I am in the mood for a "slurpy" - Don Q Gold Puerto Rican rum, Mexican coke (made with real sugar) and a twist of Key lime. Key limes also know as Limons are a small tarter lime than regular limes - helps cut some of the sweetness of the R&C.
Some how the US Navy lost the idea if rum rations - Hmm.

Pants is only a present tense verb here. I once panted, but it's all cool now.

Our on-board doctor kept some rum and some brandy in his safe. He would prescribe and dispense at times for those that got a bit hypothermic standing top side watches in the cold. Great at "warming one up!" No such luck here being a snipe in the engine rooms.

You mean you don't sail with the lea rail under most of the time if there is enough wind?

My father spent 35 years in the Royal Navy in the rum era and I never saw him touch the stuff. I think his ships ran on gin. Quite partial to rumncoke myself for warming up purposes.

I used to not mind it, These days I prefer to go out for an hours race, return to the bar for a while, then go for another hours race.
(4 races per Sunday winter, 3 in the winter).
Sadly these days it's mostly the tea bar I'm attending!

Two at a time came out on an 18ft sailing cruiser. We still had three to come out on the motor cruiser. Being rough collies they were very laid back after an initial wander round they'd settle down quietly.
The biggest problem was Baron the Blue Merle in the middle of the avatar. He was devoted to my wife and if she jumped off to moor up he would follow, getting 70 lbs of collie out of the water was difficult..
