Albuquerque is going through fall fast this year. Two weeks ago we all needed our swamp (evaporative) coolers because the highs were grazing the 80s F. I had to shut down and de-water 5 coolers, mine and neighbors, in short order because we went to grazing freezing at night a few days ago. Anyone up for fried green tomatoes? Don't know what else to do with them.

Pants is only a present tense verb here. I once panted, but it's all cool now.

Right now, as I lay in my brand new, cosy bed, it is blowing an absolute gale. I fully expect the bins to go flying any moment now...

It has been a long time since we have had El Nino weather in the US. Long enough that I forgot. It's a large area of warmer water in the Pacific that changes weather patterns a lot here in North America. Am wondering if this is making weather goofy this year in other parts of the world too.

Thank you for the reply, I think your probably right in your assumption, we tend to get the same weather about two weeks later from the states. Kit

In Austin, Texas we tend to have 6 months of summer (80-100 F.) and 6 months of autumn - spring. Summer ended about a week ago.

Steady rain, more than an inch expected today, some minor flooding in some local river basins. A good day to spend time with a cat and a book.
