If you're putting a shamrock on the Irish flag surely there should be a thistle on the Scottish...

There's an idea. I only did it, because I have one of those souvenir Irish flags, with the shamrock on it. Nobody seems to know what a flag with green, white, and orange fields even is. That's why. But I can do a thistle. on the other. I have plans to do a jolly roger, but on it, I'm gonna use crackle medium on the frame. So it will be white, with black crackles in it. I've painted the rampant lion one. Red frame, yellow background, red lion, of course.

Since you are doing different Celtic flags, how about one for Wales? My father's ancestors hale from there. I am sure you could do a great job.

You bet, I can do a Welsh flag. I'll do it. I'm just getting started. While I was at the table saw, and router table, I cut/grooved two long pieces of lumber, for more frames. If you can dream it, you can do it, I always say.

I won't be recreating that Irish Civil War flag, anytime soon. Although I would like to own one.

Just to share this with the rest of you...I thought I'd do a Jolly Roger. I'll use my wife's crackle medium, on the frame. So it will be white, with a black crackle. Background=black, skull and bone= white, of course. Working on rampant lion. Red frame, yellow background, red lion. I like the idea of a Welsh flag. If you can dream it, you can do it, right? This past halloween, on my haunted castle, I flew four flags: Saltire, Rampant Lion, Ireland (with shamrock), and Erin go Bragh. A photo of the castle is in "Show us your pics," but you can't see the flags. Maybe next year, I'll have more flags. (Welsh, etc).
