Hi Folks
I'm looking at purchasing a kilt from Internationaltartans in the UK. Does anyone have any experience with them? Quality of kilts? Please advise. Thanks.

Never heard of them. Try Scotweb or Heritage of Scotland.

Though I don't know what you are looking for, exactly, I can say that, for myself, I would hesitate to do business with vendors that do not advertise on this site, or ones not recommended by members. I have never heard of the vendor you are referring to. What sort of item/deal did you find? Chances are someone here can direct you towards the same thing at a similar price, but where the quality of the goods is less of an unknown factor.

Joek ,
I haven't heard of them . There are many good kilt makers / vendors here on this forum .
Given your location ( Pittsburgh , PA ) have you thought about USA Kilts ? They are in PA .

Having just perused their site it appears to be very much a fashion company, they are to be commended for obviously trying to push forward tartans and to the export market.
However the only prices I could find are £22 (33 dollars) for a t shirt!!! I suspect their Kilts may be a similar high price, there are many other Kilt makers both in the UK and the US who could do as good a job for a bespoke Kilt for a lesser price. The only exception would be if you want one of their own design tartans as they may be the only supplier.
Some Research shows the owner David McGill to be an architect from 1972 to 1996 and owning International tartans from 1998, so the owner appears to have some business experience behind him and the tartan side for 17 years.

They happen to have the rights to a Polish tartan. Given that, USA Kilts can't make the kilt. I checked.

I'm getting in touch with David to see if he is willing to sell the cloth wholesale. Will keep you in the loop. :-)
