Coincidence and kilt.

It's good to hear that you had a good journey. Sorry about the kilt pin loss. I lost one of mine earlier this year while at a music concert. :-(

I did pick up a tip, somewhat recently, with regards to helping prevent kilt pin loss: stick a small piece of a wide rubber band through the pin, on the inside of the kilt. If the clasp comes undone, the rubber piece will serve as an extra layer of prevention against pin-loss. A few times since trying this, I've arrived at home with my pin's clasp undone, but the pin itself was still on reasonably snugly!

I had the elastic and have had the same experience with regard to the catch coming undone, regrettably this time it didn't work. I was maneuvering two bags in a very crowed space on the tube. From now on I am going to stick a small piece of Blu-Tack on the roll over part of the clasp on all my pins.

I've lost two kilt pins this year and finally made my own out of a celtic cross necklace. It seems to be working just fine for right now.
