What a tough challenge. My husband has been a voter for various film awards, and I have my own love for movies.... we have over 1000 movies on our shelves (well filing cabinets -- I needed better organization).
I would say my top 5 are (in no order)
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (1977)
Victor Victoria (1982)
The Muppet Movie (1979)
Bud Abbott and Lou Costello Meet Frankenstein (1948)
Phantom of the Paradise (1974)
I wish I had something funny or profound to put in a signature.

Despite the lack of modern day special effects, I remain a fan of the older movies. Some of my top favorites are:
The Diary of Anne Frank
From Here to Eternity
The Quiet Man
Green is my Valley
Bridge Over the River Kwai

I've only been to a cinema 3 times in the last 58 years, I've been in the room while SWMBO watches films and I've sort of seen many of the films shown above. But give me good book any time, I bought another 8 yesterday that'll last me a couple of weeks.

My mix and film watching is a bit eclectic but there are a few that are my favorites.
The Last Picture Show (1971 Timothy Bottoms, Cybll Shepherd, Jeff Bridges all very young at the time)
Brazil (1985 Terry Gilliam director)
Christmas Story (1983 Leg lamp, BB guns and shooting your eye out)
The Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert (1994 What isn't to like about this fun film.)
Unforgiven (1992 Clint Eastwood's best western ever made)
