While considering this list, I decided to go with the movies that no matter how many times I have seen them, while channel surfing, I will always stop and watch.
Shawshank Redemption
We Were Soldiers
Memphis Belle
Sound Of Music
Uncle Buck
And thank you Jock for starting this thread!

I had forgotten We were Soldiers. That is a very intense movie, in the same league with Cross of Iron and Letters from Iwo Jima.
Those are excellent, but emotionally draining movies.
I definitely need to watch a comedy after seeing one of those.
I concur, thanks for the thread.

Being very cautious not to deviate from Jock's intent with this thread, I was a 'special skills extra' in Neilson's 'Wrongfully Accused'. A fun, foodie, whisky-soaked three days dressed in Tunes of Glory gear and playing (but not playing) 1905 Henderson pipes. Not a favourite movie...but a favourite movie, all the same .

Such a difficult question!
In no particular order:
1. Empire Strikes Back ("I love you!" "I know.")
2. Princess Bride ("Anybody want a peanut?")
3. Goonies ("I smell ice cream!")
4. Predator ("I ain't got time to bleed.")
5. Avengers ("Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist.")
U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Air Force, Firefighter, Government Contractor, Descendant of Clan MacLeod. Oh, and I just started learning the pipes, so I can add "aspiring bagpiper" to the list.
